The Las Vegas Raiders agreed to sign quarterback Kirk Cousins to a one-year, $20 million contract, a source familiar with the pact told UPI on Thursday.
Cousins’ one-year contract is fully guaranteed. The deal also includes a two-year option worth $80 million.
The Atlanta Falcons, who released Cousins this off-season, will pay the 14-year veteran $8.7 million this coming season. The Raiders will pay Cousins $1.3 million and a $10 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2027 new league year.
Cousins, 37, completed 61.7% of his throws for 1,721 yards, 10 scores and five interceptions over 10 appearances for the Falcons in 2025. The four-time Pro Bowl selection, who signed a four-year, $180 million contract with the Falcons in 2024, threw for 3,508 yards, with 18 touchdowns and 16 interceptions over 14 starts in his first season in Atlanta.
Cousins completed 66.7% of his throws for 44,700 yards, 298 touchdowns and 131 interceptions through the first 174 appearances of his NFL career.
He will enter a Raiders quarterbacks room that includes Aidan O’Connell and soon could add former Indiana star Fernando Mendoza, who is widely expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
