Derek Carr, Aidan O’Connell, Jonathan Brooks and Bucky Irving were among key players injured in Week 14 of the NFL season.

Isaac Guerendo, Antoine Winfield Jr. and Demarcus Robinson were among the other players who were hurt in Sunday’s games. Those injured in Thursday and Sunday games will be evaluated this week to determine timelines for return. Advertisement

Carr sustained multiple injuries in the New Orleans Saints’ 14-11 win over the New York Giants on Sunday in East Rutherford, N.J. He completed 20 of 31 passes for 219 yards, a score and interception before exiting in the fourth quarter.

Saints interim coach Darren Rizzi told reporters that the veteran quarterback sustained an injury to his left, non-throwing hand and said he “might be in the concussion protocol.” Advertisement

Sources told NFL Network that the Saints fear Carr broke his left hand. He will undergo additional tests Monday and is likely to miss the remainder of the season if the fracture is confirmed. Jake Haener is the Saints’ second-string quarterback.

Giants guard Jon Runyan (ankle) and center John Michael Schmitz (neck) also left the game early because of injuries.

The Saints (5-8) will host the Washington Commanders (8-5) on Sunday in New Orleans. The Giants (2-11) will host the Baltimore Ravens (8-5) on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Brooks sustained a knee injury during his lone carry in the first quarter of a 22-16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in Philadelphia. He lost 3 yards on the attempt.

Brooks was carted to the locker room after his injury. Fellow Panthers running back Raheem Blackshear (chest) and cornerback Jaycee Horn (groin) also left the game early with injuries.

Panthers coach Dave Canales told reporters Monday that Brooks “reinjured his right ACL” and will miss the remainder of the season. He will undergo surgery to repair the ACL tear in his knee. Canales said Blackshear sustained a contusion to his chest area. Advertisement

The Panthers (3-10) will host the Dallas Cowboys (5-7) on Sunday in Charlotte, N.C.

O’Connell sustained a knee injury and was carted off the field in the third quarter of the Las Vegas Raiders’ 28-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday in Tampa, Fla. He completed 11 of 19 passes for 104 yards and an interception. He also logged a rushing score.

Desmond Ridder completed 12 of 18 passes for 101 yards in relief of O’Connell. Raiders coach Antonio PIerce said O’Connell’s injury “doesn’t look good.” O’Connell, who left the field with an air cast over his left leg, will undergo additional tests this week.

Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving sustained a back injury. The Buccaneers also lost safety Antoine Winfield Jr. to a knee injury. Irving totaled 18 yards on four touches before his first-half exit.

Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles did not provide updates on Winfield or Irving during his postgame news conference.

The Raiders (2-11) will host the Atlanta Falcons (6-7) on Dec. 16 in Las Vegas. The Buccaneers (7-6) will face the Los Angeles Chargers (8-5) on Sunday in Inglewood, Calif. Advertisement

Rookie running back Isaac Guerendo went off for 128 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 17 touches in a San Francisco 49ers win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday in Santa Clara, Calif. He left the game in the fourth quarter because of a foot injury. The 49ers also lost offensive lineman Ben Bartch to an ankle injury.

Coach Kyle Shanahan said Guerendo sustained a “possible foot sprain.” He said Bartch sustained a high ankle sprain. The 49ers, who already lost running backs Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason to injuries, gave seven carries to Patrick Taylor Jr. He totaled 25 yards and a score.

Bears wide receiver DeAndre Carter (hamstring) and running back Travis Homer (head) also left the game early.

The 49ers (6-7) will host the Los Angeles Rams (7-6) on Thursday in Santa Clara. The Bears (4-9) will take on the Minnesota Vikings (11-2) on Dec. 16 in Minneapolis.

Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson left in the second half of a 44-42 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in Inglewood. He failed to make a catch. Coach Sean McVay told reporters that Robinson sustained a sprain to the AC joint in his shoulder.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and tight end Will Dissly each sustained injuries during a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in Kansas City, Mo. Advertisement

Herbert, who completed 21 of 30 passes for 213 yards and a score, sustained a leg contusion, but returned to the game. Dissly departed with a shoulder injury and did not return.

Arizona Cardinals punter Blake Gillikin (ankle), Miami Dolphins wide receiver Dee Eskridge (knee) and Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (groin) were among the other players injured in Week 14.

The Cowboys will host the Cincinnati Bengals (4-8) in the NFL’s Week 14 finale at 8:15 p.m. EST Monday in Arlington, Texas.
