The Las Vegas Raiders expect to keep defensive end Maxx Crosby in 2026, general manager John Spytek told reporters at the NFL scouting combine Tuesday in Indianapolis.

Crosby, who signed a three-year, $106.5 million contract extension with the Raiders in 2025, totaled 44.5 sacks over the last four seasons.

“Maxx is an elite player and I’ve been very upfront from the start when I got here that we’re in the business of having really good players on the team, and we need a lot more of them,” Spytek said at the Indianapolis Convention Center. “It’s hard to build a great team without elite players.”

Crosby, 28, joined the Raiders as a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The five-time Pro Bowl selection led the NFL in tackles for a loss in 2022 and 2023. He logged a career-high 14.5 sacks in 2023 and 10 quarterback takedowns in 2025.

Spytek said he maintains “a great relationship” with Crosby, including frequent phone calls and text message exchanges.

He said he is “comfortable” in his belief that Crosby wants to stay with the AFC West franchise, but would “always listen” to trade offers. He declined to answer in the affirmative when asked if Crosby was “untradable.”

“I learned a long time ago: always listen,” Spytek said. “I’m always listening.”
