The Los Angeles Rams promoted pass game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase to offensive coordinator.
Sources told ESPN, The Athletic and NFL Network about the move on Friday. The Rams also added co-offensive coordinator to quarterbacks coach Dave Ragone’s title.
Scheelhaase will replace Mike LaFleur, who was hired earlier this month to coach the Arizona Cardinals. He served as an offensive assistant and passing game specialist for the Rams in 2024.
The 35-year-old worked at Iowa State from 2018 through 2023. He worked as a running backs coach, wide receivers coach, running game coordinator and offensive coordinator for the Cyclones. He also spent time at Illinois.
The Rams had the NFL’s top offense, with the most points and yards in the league in 2025. They were led by the league’s top passing game and No. 7 rushing attack. The Rams also allowed the 10th fewest points per game.
