The Miami Dolphins agreed to a three-year, $67.5 contract with free agent quarterback Malik Willis, a source familiar with the agreement told UPI on Monday.
Willis’ agreement, which includes $45 million in guarantees, was reached the same day the Dolphins announced that they would release former starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Willis, 26, completed 30 of 35 (85.7%) passes for 422 yards and three scores and no interceptions over four appearances last season for the Packers. The third-round pick by in the 2022 NFL Draft, who joined the Packers in a 2024 trade from the Tennessee Titans, went 3-3 as a starter through his first four seasons.
Willis completed 105 of 155 (67.7%) passes for 1,322 yards, six scores and three interceptions through the first 22 appearances of his NFL career.
He will join Quinn Ewers, who took over as the Dolphins’ starter when Tagovailoa was benched in December, inside a revamped quarterbacks room in 2026.
