The New England Patriots agreed to a three-year, $42 million contract with former New York Jets offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker.

Sources told NFL Network, ESPN and The Athletic about the agreement, which is worth up to $48 million, on Monday night. Vera-Tucker, who spent his first five seasons with the Jets, started 15 games in 2024. He missed the entire 2025 campaign due to a torn triceps.

The 6-foot-5, 308-pound offensive lineman appeared in 43 games for the Jets, with starts at both guard and tackle spots.

Pro Football Focus rated Vera-Tucker as the No. 10 guard among those who were in for at least 50% of the maximum snaps played at the position in 2024.

Tucker rated No. 36 among qualifying guards in 2021, his rookie campaign. He went on to appear in a total of 12 games between his 2022 and 2023 campaigns. Those absences were caused by triceps and Achilles injuries.

He is now slated to slot in at left guard, next to left tackle Will Campbell. Right guard Mike Onwenu and right tackle Morgan Moses are among the other projected starters along the 2026 Patriots’ offensive line.

Last week, the Patriots agreed to trade center Garrett Bradbury, who started all 17 games last season, to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

That move could clear the way for Jared Wilson, who started at left guard last season for the Patriots, to replace Bradbury at center.
