San Francisco 49ers defense end Nick Bosa and Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander were among key players injured in Week 11 of the NFL season.
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney, Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward and Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Tyson Campbell were among the other key players injured. Advertisement
Those hurt in Thursday and Sunday games will be evaluated this week to determine timelines for return.
Bosa exited in the third quarter of the 49ers’ 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in Santa Clara, Calif. He totaled four combined tackles and 1.5 sacks in the setback. Advertisement
Coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that Bosa sustained a hip/oblique injury. Bosa was questionable before the game because of a hip injury, but Shanahan said he sustained a separate injury to the area in Sunday’s loss.
Wide receiver Jacob Cowing sustained a concussion, while linebacker Tatum Bethune sustained a knee injury against the Seahawks.
Seahawks wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. (oblique) and cornerback Dee Williams (ankle) also exited the game early.
The 49ers (5-5) will play the Green Bay Packers (7-3) on Sunday in Green Bay, Wis. The Seahawks (5-5) will host the Arizona Cardinals (6-4) on Sunday in Seattle.
Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander sustained a knee injury in the first half of a 20-19 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday in Chicago. He was ruled out in the third quarter.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur did not provide an update on the Pro Bowl defender at his postgame news conference, but sources told NFL Network that Alexander avoided a serious injury.
Bears offensive lineman Ryan Bates was ruled out because of a concussion.

Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith sustained a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter of a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday in Pittsburgh. The star defender totaled a game-high 13 combined tackles prior to his exit.
Ravens safety Sanoussi Kane and Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (shin) also left that game early because of injuries. Ravens coach John Harbaugh did not provide an update on Smith’s injury during his postgame news conference.
The Ravens (7-4) will take on the Los Angeles Chargers (7-3) on Nov. 25 in Inglewood, Calif.
Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman sustained a groin injury in the fourth quarter of a win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in Inglewood. He made five combined tackles before his exit.
Chargers cornerback Cam Hart (concussion) and Bengals cornerback D.J. Turner II (shoulder) also were ruled out. Sources told NFL Network on Monday that Turner is feared to have sustained a fractured clavicle, which would most likely end his season.
Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward sustained ankle and rib injuries during a loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday in New Orleans. Ward. who logged four total tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, returned to the game. Advertisement
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters Monday that Ward is day-to-day. Stefanski also said that Browns offensive tackle Dawand Jones fractured the fibula in his left leg and will require surgery. He is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
Browns tight end Geoff Swaim is in the concussion protocol. Cornerback Greg Newsome (shoulder) is day-to-day.
Stefanski said tackle Jedrick Wills, who was dealing with a lingering knee injury, could replace Jones on the Browns offensive line.
Saints center Erik McCoy sustained a groin injury during the victory. The Saints (4-7) are on bye in Week 12. The Browns (2-8) will host the Steelers (8-2) on Thursday in Cleveland.
The Falcons lost wide receiver Darnell Mooney (hamstring) and defensive end Zach Harrison (knee) to injuries during their 38-6 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday in Denver.
Mooney totaled two catches for 27 yards and left the game in the second half.
The Falcons (6-5) are on bye in Week 12.
Jaguars cornerback Tyson Campbell (shoulder) and center Mitch Morse (eye) were injured during a lopsided loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday in Detroit. Campbell returned to the game and totaled eight combined tackles.
Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis sustained a knee injury. Sources told NFL Network on Monday that he is believed to have a torn meniscus. Advertisement
Lions coach Dan Campbell said linebacker Alex Anzalone broke his forearm and will miss six to eight weeks. Lions tight end Shane Zylstra (neck) and wide receiver Allen Robinson (concussion) also were injured.
The Jaguars (2-9) are on bye in Week 12. The Lions (9-1) will play the Indianapolis Colts (5-6) on Sunday in Indianapolis.
Las Vegas Raiders running backs Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quad) and cornerbacks Jakorian Bennett (shoulder) and Jack Jones (back) sustained injuries during a loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday in Miami Gardens, Fla.
The Raiders (2-8) will host the Denver Broncos on Sunday in Las Vegas. The Dolphins (4-6) will host the New England Patriots (3-8) on Sunday in Miami Gardens.
The Dallas Cowboys (3-6) will host the Houston Texans (6-4) in the NFL’s Week 11 finale at 8:15 p.m. EST Monday in Arlington, Texas.
